Embracing God's Wisdom in Parenting | Psalm 104:24

Psalm 104:24 says "How many are your works, Lord! In wisdom, you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures."

In God’s infinite wisdom, you were made—beautifully and purposefully crafted by the Creator of the universe. He made you! He made your children! You are His good and perfect handiwork. There is nothing about you that was a mistake; you were made in wisdom, designed by the One who knows all things.

As parents, it’s easy to find ourselves asking, “Why am I here? Does what I do even matter? Will I ever be good enough?” These questions can weigh heavily on us, leading to self-doubt and insecurity. But here’s the truth: You were not designed to carry those thoughts. Those thoughts are not from the Lord; they are lies from the enemy, meant to steal your joy, shake your confidence, and hinder you from fulfilling the purpose God has set before you.

The devil knows that if he can plant seeds of doubt in your heart, he can disrupt your capacity to live out your God-given purpose and destiny. But don’t let him win! The Bible, which is the living word of God, assures us that in His wisdom, we were made. You are here for a reason. You are good enough, just as you are, to carry out the unique role God has given you in this world.

Psalm 104:24 is a beautiful celebration of God’s incredible wisdom, which is evident in every part of His creation. From the grandeur of mountains to the delicate intricacies of a flower, everything in the natural world reflects the intelligence and care with which God has made it. As a parent, you might sometimes feel small or insignificant compared to the vastness of creation. Yet, remember this: The same God who crafted every detail of this earth with wisdom is the One who created and guides you.

When you look at the world around you, take comfort in knowing that every part of creation is intentional and purposeful. He knows what you need, what challenges you face, and He provides for you just as He provides for all of His creation.
