1 Thessalonians 1:3 says, "We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ."

This verse is so encouraging for parents, as it speaks to the immense work and sacrifice involved in parenting—work done in faith, labour out of love, and endurance inspired by hope in the Lord.

It's easy to get caught up in the daily grind and lose sight of the spiritual significance of your role as a parent. But this verse beautifully reminds you that your work as a parent are not just mundane tasks but significant works produced by your faith. Every meal prepared, every story read, every tear wiped away is a labour prompted by love. And amidst the sleepless nights and challenging days, your endurance is inspired by hope in your Lord Jesus Christ.

One day you will stand before God and He will remember all that you have done for your children. This work is not in vain; all that you do for your children and family, you do for the Lord.

Don’t lose heart, even in the midst of difficult seasons, when it all feels futile, or when it feels like no one sees all that you do. The Lord sees it all. He sees the quiet sacrifices, the love you give your children, the way you wake up exhausted and feeling empty yet continue to pour everything you have into your children. This work is not in vain. You will see the fruit of it one day. Keep going, and keep leaning on Christ to sustain you, encourage you, and help you in each moment of your day.

Let this truth sink deep into your heart. Know that God sees and values every act of service you perform as a parent. Your work is meaningful and significant in His eyes.
